Service Terms, Prices, and Delivery Information

1. Any product found to be defective resulting directly from contract service work performed by CTC can be returned to CTC. CTC will either attempt to correct the defect at no cost, or return the product to the customer and provide a credit.
2. The dollar value of any credit will not exceed the amount charged to originally perform the contract service work on the specific product, or portion of the product, being returned.
3. CTC uses the best and most up to date techniques and procedures. We understand that some product and components can have a substantial value. However, CTC will not be responsible for the value of any product CTC damages during any contract service work. It is incumbent on the customer to notify CTC regarding any particular concerns about cleaning processes, exposure to heat, or any other processes that the product may be sensitive to.
4. CTC uses comprehensive order control and tracking practices. However, CTC will not be responsible for the value of any product CTC may misplace while that product in in the possession of CTC.
5. CTC will not provide a credit, nor correct a defect at no cost, on product due to a component failure unless there is clear visual evidence that CTC caused the defect.
6. Customers must notify CTC of any discrepant product within 30 days after receipt in order to be eligible for a credit.

1. The area to be repaired or reworked must be clearly identified.
2. When previously unidentified minor defects are discovered during repair or rework, the customer grants CTC permission to correct those minor defects without notification.
3. When requested, artwork will be promptly supplied.

2. Clearly identify the location of the defect on each circuit board or include detailed instructions.
3. Call to receive an Order Tracking Number. Include this number on the shipping paperwork. You will be informed of the appropriate Setup Charge for the quantity of circuit boards being sent in (see Setup Charge section).
4. Properly package the circuit boards and ship them as directed.
5. Upon receipt of your circuit boards we will evaluate them and send you an email order confirmation listing the repair charge for each circuit board and the scheduled ship date. We will await your written authorization prior to repairing or reworking your circuit boards.
6. Upon completion, your circuit boards are inspected, packaged and shipped back to you.

Standard Repair/Rework Charges
We start by analyzing each project and then confirm to you the exact cost before we do any work. You’ll always know in advance how much you will save by sending your circuit boards to Circuit Technology Center for repair and rework. The following prices should be used as a guideline. Actual prices may vary.

1. Requires high temperature. Review material specifications before proceeding.

    

1. Profile development is nearly always necessary. A profile must be developed for every unique BGA location that will require rework. This will require a sample/scrap circuit board of the same configuration as that to be reworked, and several sample/scrap components to develop a profile for each location. In special cases it may be possible to remove/replace BGA components without prior development of the rework profile. See prices below.
2. BGA component rework requires that the circuit board will be exposed to multiple high temperature reflow cycles. At a minimum these include the original reflow process, the removal reflow process, and the re-installation reflow process. These multiple reflow cycles may cause damage/discoloration to the circuit board surface and solder mask. CTC must be informed if the BGA component location has been previously reworked.
3. CTC will use no clean flux, but will remove excess flux from the circuit board surface after BGA rework.
4. The customer must notify CTC about any components on the circuit board that may be unusually sensitive to high temperatures.
5. The customer must notify CTC if prebaking of the circuit board, or special moisture controls of the BGA components are required.
